Additive Manufacturing of Polymer Prototypes

Polymer prototyping via FDM 3D printing allows for quick and cheap evaluation of your design ideas. Creating a physical prototype of your designs will provide useful information for the overall shape and geometrical complexity of your part, which can help you address any shortcomings of your product design. FemtoTime can produce prototypes in a wide range of polymers and colours.

Parts production via CNC milling/turning

Parts production via milling/turning allows you to produce high quality parts with tight tolerances in metals. The process is suitable both for one of part fabrication to a batch production of parts. FemtoTime can address your needs for 3 axis milling, 5-axis milling and turning operations.

CAD modelling

CAD modelling is the process of turning your product ideas into digital prototypes. CAD modelling is an interactive process, where design changes are introduced until the product design is finalised in accordance to the client's functional needs and perceptions for aesthetical appearance. As a last step of the CAD modelling process, engineering drawings are produced, providing a third angle projection of final parts with all feature dimensions and their respective tolerances. Femtotime has deep understanding of CAD modelling of a single part to a number of parts into an assembly.

CAM programming

CAM programming is the process of turning the product CAD files into machine-specific list of instructions (NC code) to achieve the fabrication of the designed part(s). We have an extensive library of machine post processors. As part of your part prototyping (both via 3D printing and CNC machining), Femtotime will perform all necessary CAM programming.

Scanning/inspection of parts with high resolution metrology techniques

Inspection of parts is the vital final stage of any product fabrication, where it is confirmed if the part's features conform to the predefined tolerance levels. Another important application of 3d optical metrology is scanning. of physical objects or surface textures for reverse engineering.
